This was Joey'sfirst SCCA Super Tour weekend with Wheels America Racing.
Joey had one of the best starts of his career in Race 1, going from P22 to P7 on the opening lap.
This weekend brought a newfound confidence and pace for Joey in the Spec MX-5.
“This was one of the best race weekends of my career to date. Despite being unlucky in qualifying with the transponder not working, I didn’t let it set me back and drove my heart out. Race 1 was absolutely incredible, and who knows what we could have done in Race 2 if we had gotten more than two laps of racing.”
