KEY MOMENTS
Throughout the weekend, Joey struggled to have confidence in the car going off track many times
In Race 2 Joey managed to recalibrate his driving style and close his race pace gap to his competitors
Despite a disappointing result, Joey made a big step forward with tire management and consistency compared to previous races
“This weekend was not about the results, or even lap times. When looking at the big picture, I struggled to adapt to the car’s needs and was lacking on raw pace. However by the end of the weekend we managed to make a big improvement on race pace and showed a lot of strengths which I can’t wait to apply for future races.”
POST RACE
Just Drive
Following our best weekend yet finishing P2 in both races at Buttonwillow I entered Round 5 at Willow Springs feeling more confident than ever. At Buttonwillow my confidence kept getting better as the weekend went on. This round was my first roller coaster weekend of the year. But most importantly, I learned that the finishing position does not always accurately reflect how a weekend went.
