KEY MOMENTS
This was Joey’s first time racing a kart since the Machismo 12 Hour in 2022
Despite being on tires that were a year and a half old, Joey showed front running pace
Throughout the weekend Joey’s pace continued to get faster being only 92 thousandths off the fastest race lap
“I went into this weekend with absolutely zero expectations given that I haven't driven my kart in an entire year. Technically my “off-season” and this is for training and staying nimble, I was reminded of how much fun it is to be in my kart.”
POST RACE
A Return to Karting
Following the end of the Spec Miata season in October I had a 3 month break with no racing. To stay fit in the off-season I decided to jump into the Tri-C Chill Challenge, excited to reunite with my kart that had been gathering dust for a year. I was ready to drive my kart again and it was a perfect reunion.
