KEY MOMENTS
Despite not feeling super comfortable with the car, Joey managed to find more and more pace throughout the weekend
Joey had an incredible battle in Race 2 with competitor Brett Becker that lasted the entire race
Joey had to drive around an issue with 3rd gear in the transmission for the entire weekend
“At first reflection, I am very disappointed with the race results, but that does not give an accurate portrayal of our weekend. If anything, this was our best weekend to date. Each session we kept getting faster and the feeling in the car got better and better. We overcame mechanical issues and I had the best battle of my career to date with Brett Becker in Race 2. I’m leaving this weekend happy because we gave it our absolute everything out there.”

If You’re Not Winning, You’re Learning
After making lots of improvements at Willow Springs I had my hopes set high for this weekend at Buttonwillow. It’s a circuit we were strong at in April and unlike Willow Springs, it is extremely technical with 21 corners making up a lap. However, this weekend was just as challenging.
