This was Joey’s first race with the Mazda Motorsports Factory Team
Throughout the weekend Joey showed strong pace making improvements throughout each session
Following a massive crash in Race 1, Joey walked away unhurt and stepped into his personal car with Advanced Autosports for Race 2 on Sunday
"This was one roller coaster weekend! While on paper, this weekend was far from what we wanted results-wise as a team, I am so grateful for the incredible support of everyone at Mazda and Slipstream Performance. They had my back every step of the way, and that means everything. We’ll bounce back stronger for VIR in less than three weeks!
POST RACE
A Roller Coaster Weekend
Nearly a month and a half after Sebring, I was so excited to get back racing again. Road Atlanta was set to be a brand new experience: new track, new car, new team, and four months after winning the Spec MX-5 Shootout, my first race with the Mazda Motorsports Factory Club Racing Team!
