KEY MOMENTS

Joey’s race week was defined by a brake failure and major crash during Practice 2 on Tuesday.
With no dry practice in the backup car, Joey qualified on the front row in Q3.
Despite handling challenges, Joey stayed with the lead pack throughout the race, finishing P6 and recording the second-fastest race lap.

“I cannot believe how this week turned out. I felt great with my car until the brake failure and crash, and then everything was insane. I’m lucky we found a great backup car thanks to Michael Borden, and to put it on the front row with no dry running was an amazing feeling. While I wanted a better result for the race, considering our lack of running, I think we can be really proud of the pace and staying up front.”

From Brake Failure to the Front Row

A devastating brake failure and 9.1G crash nearly ended Joey's Runoffs before they began. With a backup car and just two laps of dry running, he defied the odds to qualify on the front row. But the challenges were far from over.
